Be sure to check out our recent 2023 Ford F-150 vs 2023 Toyota Tundra comparison in which we focused on the trim levels aimed at the average consumer, but we wanted to take a moment here to look at the options available to off-road enthusiasts. Toyota offers two core options for the 2023 Toyota Tundra. The TRD Off-Road package upgrades the pickup with skid plates and an off-road suspension and is available with the SR5, Limited, and 1794 Edition trims. You also have the option of the TRD Pro as a standalone model, and it also adds a lifted suspension, Fox suspension dampers, a rear locking differential, and Crawl Control, which is essentially cruise control for off-roading.
Ford offers more options overall for the 2023 Ford F-150 available at Stivers Ford Montgomery. Its FX Off-Road option adds an off-road suspension, electronic locking rear differential, hill descent control, rock crawl drive mode, and more and can be added to practically any trim level. The Rattler option is similar but also adds a front differential and upgraded transfer case. The Tremor is comparable to the TRD Off-Road but at a lower price, and then there are the Raptor and Raptor R models. These are performance off-road vehicles, and Toyota doesn’t currently offer an analog to them. Visit us near Columbus GA. Also serving Wetumpka, Montgomery, and Prattville Alabama.
