I turned in my car on the morning of Halloween, and was told someone would call me in the coming days with information about the repair that was needed. I was never contacted about my car. I called once, the week after I'd dropped it off, and was told they were waiting on a quote for a part. I was never called back. After two weeks in the shop, I called again and was told I was finally able to pick it up, and that the price of my repair would be upwards of $700 (for a new purge valve). ... Read More

Went to the dealership today in Troy, Al. Am handicapped stayed in my vehicle waiting for someone to come out. Wanted 2 price quotes on 2 different vehicles. After several minutes sales woman came out, obviously not enthused. She told me she couldn't quote prices, I had to come inside and get into the system. When I questioned the approach and told her that at this time I could not get out of the car and walk inside, she became very uncooperative. She told me she did not like the way I talked to her. Asked her what she meant. She ... Read More

Called about a car , spent all days arranging things and they sold it out from under us . Stay far away sleazy company !!
Terrible customer sales service from the sales manager to the minions. Found vehicle that was wanted and was told it was in one location which was fine, but once questioned vehicle was at a completely different location. Pushed to buy from the Montgomery lot. I was told the deal would have to be worked at the dealership and then the car would be brought in. I know that is NOT how it works. Once said vehicle was officially located we were then told it was being lent out as a loaner. Never called when they stated they would communicate. So ... Read More

The Service Dept was excellent, at one time earning The President's Award but now, I doubt they could compete for the President's Award in Somalia. In In several instances it has taken them weeks and more than one visit to fix an issue with my car and now that she's not under warranty I get dismissed with comments about the car bein "obsolete". As for loaners, only way on that list is to put the car in then wait for a loaner to become available, with new car/warranty owners having priority on a list ... Read More

I had a great experience, very nice salesman that went there and beyond to make my purchase experience great.
Buyers please beware. Things discussed via text and email over a weeks worth of time simply didn't match with what actually transpired on the dealership lot... You are told "your presences is your leverage".. only to be baited and switched once you arrived. Very deceptive and dishonest.. Proceed with severe caution.
We bought a brand new F-150 Lariat for three weeks, and they have had it in the shop for one and haven’t even looked at it. The truck had flat spots so they were supposed to change the tires but apparently JT hasn’t been at work so nothing can get done, no one else knows what to do. We have called multiple, multiple times just to get an update and all we get is “We will call you back”. The sales department was ok but this has been a nightmare trying to get a hold of someone when ... Read More

I had a 2016 Black F-150 at the collision shop for about 7 weeks before it was ever touched. It was dropped off on 10/19/2023. No one has ever called to give me an update on my vehicle and every time I call, they cannot seem to give me an estimated finish date. I called to get an update and was told it was actively being worked on and that they didn’t have an estimated completion date. Very poor service department and very rude. I will never buy another Ford and especially from this dealership.
I’ve bought 5 cars from this dealership. And after being promised a $150 referral fee I talked my son in law into buying from here instead of going to Birmingham. He actually spent more money than he would have but got a nicer truck. Well that was November. 2022. It’s almost March and I haven’t gotten the promised $150. I checked with my salesman Ashley and he promised me it would be sent. I then called the manager and he promised me he would have it sent. Now 2 weeks past the last phone call I still don’t have the $150 promised. ... Read More

I I've purchased 4 new vehicles from Stivers. Marquis Lewis was my salesman & was fantastic. Great service & very pleased with all of my purchases from here. Definitely see Marquis, he's a pleasure to do business with, you can't help but love the guy! I will be back!
TJ in service was very helpful and professional Truck works great with no problems at all
I drove down for Birmingham pick up a truck at a predetermined price but when I got there the price “went up”. Don’t trust these people.

I have been a long term customer at Stivers Ford/ Lincoln. Today was a perfect example of the service manager addressing my concerns about my car even though I had a scheduled appointment for an oil change. I was able to speak directly with the technician performing the work. The Service Advisor kept me informed. Job was done right. I drive by other dealerships in the region to do business with Stivers, either purchase or service the experience has always been friendly and attentive
Ok I take my car in for service at Stivers Ford Montgomery 11/2/2020 and clearly ask for oil change and tire rotation, but after paying and get home I realized there was no tire rotation, same tire I placed a mark on is in the same place, so I call to let them know

Absolutely terrible customer service. I do not recommend that anyone purchase a vehicle through them. They have been extremely difficult to work with. Almost impossible to get them to call me back to fix problems that THEY created.
Very upset with how I was lied to when trying to purchase a $40,000 van from Stivers.
I called ahead because I am severely immune compromised and wanted to get pre approval so I didn’t have to expose myself unnecessarily, I specifically said I can not be exposed and need to have everything done prior to signing papers. The sales person told me no problem, that everything was wiped down and everyone is required to wear a mask and all I had to do was apply online, which I did and he take care of it. I sat in the ... I have nothing to say but good things about this dealership. I was extremely impressed with TR, y salesman. He was extremely helpful and knew his products. He really worked with us and we bought what we wanted at a fair price. His outgoing personality reflects great credit on the company He listened, suggested, and accommodated my wife and I throughout the buying process. I would not hesitate to work with him again. I spent $4700.00 in their service department to have a transmission replaced and it failed with <1500 miles and they were of no assistance
I cringe to type this, but I just feel like it needs to be said.
More of a janky corner used car lot experience than a legitimate franchise dealer.
Inquired about a pre-owned corvette.
They stated the car had "been through their service center, inspected top to bottom, and passed without needing a single part or issue addressed"
WELL

Service was great! Shelby Parker waited on me and was very courteous and professional - no doubt very knowledgeable about all aspects of the operation and his job. Mr. Parker is an asset to the Ford service team!

I purchased a 2017 Ford Focus SE. They sent me an email saying that I was approved for a $25,000-35,000 loan no money down. I get there. Everything went great .Although it was a read flag when they had my cosigner fill out everything as if its their car. A year later. I found out the salesman which no longer works there had written that I put down $3,500. So now they are trying to sue my cosigner for something that happened on their end. Never in my life would go back or recommend to anyone!
I wanted to purchase a vehicle from them was sent a quote for down payment and total price. I get there and they had me sitting there for hrs before telling me they required a larger down payment than I was promised and agreed to.
Spoke with multiple salesman about a 2018 Ford Mustang. I was emailed a quote instantly. I went as far as to call to verify that the price we negotiated would be the same price before financing. I was assured by TWO salesman (via TEXT, CALLS, AND EMAILS) that it would indeed be that price when I arrived. Everything was smooth until it was time to sign for the car. Worst people in the car business. This place has been my worst experience when trying to purchase a vehicle..salesman had 0% knowledge about the truck I was interested in ... not even the price... these clowns don't wanna sell anything, they should advertise "NO HAGGLE", should've found a dealer closer to home than driving 70miles
Contacted them on a Wednesday about a truck and set up a appointment for that following Saturday to look at and discuss the truck. For 3 days I was in contact with 3 salesman via email and text. I drove 100 miles to arrive and they tell me the truck in question had been sold 2 days prior. I have no problem the truck was sold but they did not have the decency to let me know before I made a special 200 mile round trip for nothing. Not good business
Great price friendly sales team. After I purchased the car it had a small rattle when idling. The service team were very professional and gave me a car to drive while they fixed mine. They fixed the problem the same day. Love the car gets great gas mileage and has less road noise than other small cars.
Purchased a new truck from Stivers Ford and had a great salesman Mr Montgomery. Drove from Birmingham to get a good deal that I located on line.
Bought a vehicle from here not long ago. The salesman was spectacular and made the entire buying process easy but once we went over to the finance department things hit the fan. We were on our way from Orange Beach back to Wisconsin on Saturday, April 29th when the check engine light went on in our Mercury Mariner. My mother and I leased two 2014 Ford's. Not only were we lied to were we disrespected as well. I would never, ever, ever, ever, ever , ever recommend buying a car from Stivers. They are a ignorant bunch of people, including the owner, Mr. Stivers. The dealership is now "STIVERS" Ford-Lincoln-Mecury. I love the vehicle I purchased, but the problems came when making the deal. We were very clear during the negotiations that we wanted a particular price "out the door" and the salesman made clear he understood that. We were able to settle on a price. It was a bank holiday, so we were unable to obtain an accurate pay-off on my trade-in. I estimated it to be $17,000. Somehow when the paperwork came out, it had $16,000 as the trade-in value.
